Project Overview

We were commissioned to design and build a custom WordPress theme with two key features, a custom Ecommerce WordPress websites  setup for course sales and clothing, and a fully integrated Learning Management System (LMS) for seamless online education.

Group X Training (GXT) is a boutique training provider specialising in online yoga and fitness courses. Founded by Jayne Nicholls, a former Nike fitness athlete and creator of the Freestyle Yoga brand, GXT offers a range of fully accredited qualifications and certifications designed to empower individuals pursuing careers in yoga and fitness instruction.

Custom WordPress Development
As a custom WordPress developer, we built the GXT website using a custom WordPress theme, providing a flexible and scalable platform to manage their extensive range of courses and resources. Custom post types and taxonomies were implemented to organise and display course information effectively, enhancing user navigation and experience.

Custom Theme Enhancements
A custom WordPress theme was designed to reflect GXT’s brand identity and ethos. Custom templates were created for course listings, instructor profiles, and testimonials, ensuring a cohesive and engaging presentation of content.

Responsive & Performance-Optimised Design
The website features a fully responsive design, ensuring optimal viewing across various devices and screen sizes. Performance optimisation techniques, such as lazy loading images and asynchronous script loading, were employed to enhance page load times and overall user experience.

Custom Ecommerce Integration
A custom Ecommerce WordPress websites  setup was integrated to facilitate the sale of courses and related products such as clothing. Custom product types were developed to accommodate the unique requirements of course enrolments, including options for part payments and access to online materials.

Learning Management System
A tailored Learning Management System (LMS) was implemented to deliver online course content seamlessly. Features include interactive video lessons, downloadable resources, and assessment modules. The LMS supports drip-fed content, allowing for structured learning pathways, and provides instructors with tools to monitor student progress and engagement.
